On this gorgeous Earth Day, I’m so thankful to report that, the planet’s weather willing, my McIntosh and Golden Delicious apple trees are soon to be absolutely covered in gorgeous flowers! 😍🌸 The amount of flower buds on my two trees is astonishing! 🤩 I’m so excited and hopeful that all these little buds will blossom 🐝 and transform into a bumper crop of glorious apples, so that I’ll be able to make my Peel-On Apple Butter again! 🍎🍏 We had no crop at all last year 🥺, so everything in pairs crossed! 😬🤞🤣 Watch this space! 😃 Enjoy this amazing Earth Day evening! 🌎💚

Happy Saturday, everyone! 😃 I just wanted to pop in and give you guys an update on the tomatoes. 🍅💚 As you can see from this picture, things are right on schedule! I had a bit of filter fun with this photo, obviously 🤣, but I have just been amazed by the magic that is growing things from seed. ✨ I find it a truly beautiful process and am so proud to say that, out of the 76 tomato seeds we planted, ALL of them germinated! 🌱 Magic! 🤩 And, on that note, I also got word this week that Del City Farm was approved to be a vendor again this year at the Main Street Delaware Farmers’ Market! 🥳👏 Hopefully, all these pretty little tomato starts will make it and we’ll have some to sell you at the 1st market on Saturday, May 25th! 🤞😍 Have a fantastic night! 😊

Hello! 👋 And happy first day of spring, everybody! 🌸😍 Am I the only one that was overjoyed to wake up today and realize that winter is officially over? 😂 We may get some more winter weather but it’s finally, actually spring! 🥰 On that note, I’m getting excited about seed planting season. 👩‍🌾 As you know, we sold organically grown, Living Microgreens at Main Street Delaware Farmers’ Market last year. 🌱 We’re definitely going to be selling those at the farmers’ market again this year and we’re hoping to also be selling tomato plant starts. 🍅🙏🤞 We’ve already purchased 10 different organic, heirloom seed varieties and I’m super excited to say that all 10 varieties got their start in my home state of West Virginia. 🤩 With names like Cindy’s West Virginia, Marlowe Charleston, Hillbilly, Dr. Lyle, and Tappy’s Finest, the nostalgia factor is off the charts for us! 💖 We can’t wait to try growing some of these amazing varieties to hopefully sell to you for your home garden area! ☺️ Watch this space! 😃 (Please note that the tomato photos featured here were borrowed from the website, TomatoFest.com.)
